Many of you are in the midst of deciding which summer program to choose. So, why apply to GLA?
Meaningful Community Service
We believe that community service should connect to a country and its people. That's why we don't do manual labor projects, rather we focus on working alongside local people at grassroots organizations. More about Community Service
Learning about the issues
Community service in a vacuum, without understanding the underlying issues, is meaningless. It is important to examine the issues in order to have a deeper understanding of the context in which we are doing our service projects. We do this through meeting with leaders who are working on these important issues of our time. More about Learning
Safe, secure campus living
Living on the campus of a boarding school in another country is a unique experience. The GLA campus is a community of like-minded, progressive students from around the world. You'll have time to bond with other students in this safe environment.
International student body
GLA students come from all over the world. Last summer our students came from over 30 different countries and spoke 40 different languages. Make friendships with a diverse group of like-minded young leaders.
